A major developer in the NES era, they continued to support the system up until its death in 1995.  They released quite a large number of games, they are:

Castlevania I
Castlevania II
Castlevania III
Contra
Contra Force
Double Dribble
Goonies 2
Gradius
Jack Nicklaus Golf
Jackal
Kings Quest 5
Laser Invasion
Life Force
Lone Ranger
Monster in my Pocket
Rush N Attack
Stinger
Super C
TMNT 3
TMNT Tournament Fighters
Tiny Toons Adventures 1
Tiny Toons Adventures 2
Tiny Toon Cartoon Workshop
Top Gun 1
Top Gun 2
Track & Field 1
Track & Field 2
Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego
Zen Intergalactic Ninja

Notables: Konami produced a game for nearly every genre you could think of. Unlike most companies they did not butcher their TV licenses. Their Side Scrollers rival Nintendo’s in Quality. Their Shooters are some of the best on the system. They produced the best damn hockey game on the system. They even released the quirky game Kings Quest , part of a Point and Click adventure series that achieved much fame on the PC. They are even noted for releasing the only true fighter (although that could be debated) on the system! There was not a base they didn’t touch.

Status: Still in business, although their American releases are few and far in between. They were a huge success in Japan with their Dance Dance Revolution series of Arcade / Console games. Their upcoming title Metal Gear Solid 2 is one of the most anticipated games ever.

Best Titles: You cant go wrong with any of then except for The Adventures of Bayou Billy, which is an evil, evil game that gave me a complex.

Popularity of Games: High

Rarity of Games: Most of their earlier releases can be found without much trouble, but their later releases are almost impossible to get your hands on.

Overall Rating: A
